Description

Bobbi Ell painting Artist comment: Salmon Spawning = new life, rebirth + true continuance of the generations. I love going to see the salmon spawn here, making the Okanagan their birthplace. The drum… this represents my art + the music. I love to make + paint drums then to listen to the music they make. Sharing the pride + heritage of the Okanagan people through the sounds of the drums + the voices of the people. In the drum is my Mama bear paw with the medicine wheel surrounding her, coming from her to complete the circle. Balance, self-care.
