Sam Delacherois painting Artist comment: To me, being syilx means having ongoing and reciprocal relations with the land an all entities. Water and roots feel significant to me in the many lessons they teach us – both directly and through metaphors. I speckled some salmon eggs too as a representation of the vitality and interconnectedness of all living beings. Water and salmon, and environmental justice are intrinsically related and symbiotic. They’re representative of all relations, social situations, economics, and more. atik̕ʷuswiw-numtax. atik̕ʷusuknaqinx. atiaxa l tmxʷulaxʷArtwork Details
