Note

Net Loss grew from a three-year collaboration with an estuarial scientist, tracing the quiet transformations in Pacific Northwest estuaries as rising salinity reshapes their biodiversity. During his walks through the tidal flats, my collaborator recorded a poetic journal entry. It is part observation, part elegy for what is changing. I rewrote his words in hand-formed wire, weaving them into the shape of a fishing net, a fragile vessel holding both language and loss.
