PSBA 2025 show at Collins Memorial Library, University of Puget Sound; Received a Juror’s AwardNote
A) Accordion folds marked by internal dowels help this book fold into nine pages each marked by an embedded fabric/paper collage each of which suggested text to the artist. The resultant story reveals the artist’s feelings when witnessing clear cut in the land of timber and the question of what one person can do in what seems like hopeless times.
B) I believe that this work could be borrowed from the Cynthia Sears Collection for this show.
C) Were this work to be included in the show, I would make a more professional video to accompany it.Note Type

This book could be displayed on the wall or it could be displayed folded in its box as shown in the detail view. In the second configuration I would hope that visitors could see a video display of it by means of a monitor or on their smart phones by means of a QR code.
