This Witness Tree traces 200 years of history in Washington’s Skagit Valley, mapping climate anomalies and colonial settlement through the language of tree rings. Encircled by a wire-script timeline, the wire script bark intertwines science and allegory to reveal how both trees and humans carry the imprints of trauma, resilience, and survival across generations.Note Type
Installation NoteNote
People always ask what is in the wire script because it is very hard to read as it gets layered.
There is a list of events printed out that interprets the copy that is written in wire. It is shown in one of the images.
Set height via directions and bent metal legs, screw mount metal top to wall with leg roots in place.
With wire, attach script bark to metal frame. optional depending on floor: white sticky canvas base laid first.
