The artist has used the technique of punching grommets into the canvas to create the landscape of his narrative, alluding to the traditional of technique of Pardokht or pointillism used in Mughal miniatures. On close examination of the work one finds he has included the two founders of Pakistan, the poet Muhammad Iqbal who proposed the idea of a separate state and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the politician who made it a reality. The hand-written text is his soul-searching reflection, regarding the current situation in that country. (From Contemporary Chronicles)
