The Rajput style, also known as Rajasthani style, flourished in Rajasthan in the 17th and 18th centuries. The artists combined local traditions with Persian, Mughal, Chinese and European styles. In addition to creating paintings on paper, these artists also painted murals on the walls of palaces, forts and mansions that depicted the ruler and his accomplishments.
