Jamil Naqsh was an artist whose draftsmanship skill was central to his art. Unapologetically tied to Picasso’s Cubist platform, Naqsh forged his own path and created a personal style. He was known for painting nudes and pigeons, two themes in opposition, the first unacceptable in conservative Lahore and the second a popular theme with old school Lahore painters.
