Saeed is a textile designer who has used embroidery in his response to the sectarian aggression and bloodshed in the picturesque setting in Parachinar, Pakistan. He was forced to flee his home with hundreds of other families and his work reflects the distress of the victims and survivors. Viewed up close the intricate details of his embroidery are visible, but it is only by viewing the work from a distance that the mutilated, dismembered figures are visible.
