Scope and Content

Much of the contents of the time capsule were badly water-damaged. After everything else was removed and inventoried, this was what remained. It likely includes a piece of The New York Times Encyclopedic Almanac (item 2021.011.169) and half of the November 11, 1970 Spokesman (item 2021.011.198), but the rest is more of a mystery. Based on the inventory that was left by the 1970 time capsule committee, it likely includes bulletins and brochures from the First Reformed Church; a publication from the Cornerstone Laying & Solemn Blessing of Corpus Christi Church & CYO Center, August 26, 1962; and a "condensed history of all churches."
