Note
Photograph may be incorrectly identified. The street has trolley tracks and the South Amboy trolley but the trolley did not run on Whitehead Avenue. The May pole looks the same as one identified as being from the 1919 parade for returning soldiers, 2007.044.001. There are twelve girls holding the ribbons and a woman pushing a carriage with an umbrella over it is just behind the group. There is no May pole mentioned in any description of the parade for South River's 200th anniversary.
