A note handwritten on the back in blue ink reads "Congregation Anshe Emeth of South River, Main Street, South River, New Jersey; Rabbi Joseph Maza; First synagogue Whitehead Avenue 1920; Present edifice erected 1952; November 1970." "Photograph by Booraem" is stamped on the back in black ink. Black and white photograph measures 5" x 7" and is in fair condition with some water damage to the bottom center section of the image. The writing on the back is partially visible on the front.
