Photograph of Taryn Thomas after she was crowned Little Miss America in August 1970. Thomas is wearing a crown and a sash. The visible portion of the sash reads "Little Miss..." with "Palisades Amuse..." on the line below. A note handwritten on the back in blue ink reads "'Little Miss America' - 1970, Palisades Park, N.J.; Taryn Thomas - Age 9; Parents - Mr. & Mrs. Jay Thomas Jr.; Taryn was crowned Queen of the 250th Anniversary of South River, N.J. by Eva C. Bissett, Queen Riverie, 200th Anniversary 1920 at opening ceremonies November 6, 1970; November 1970." Black and white photograph measures 5" x 7" and is in good condition.
