Description

Program for the Imperial Symphonic Band and Chorus concert in celebration of the 250th anniversary of South River. The seal of South River appears on the front cover with text reading: "Borough of South River, New Jersey; 1720 1970; 250th Anniversary -- Concert by the Imperial Symphonic Band and Chorus, Monday, November 9, 1970." Text on the back of the cover lists members of The Imperial Band, The Imperial Chorus, and the South River Russian Balalaika Orchestra. Program lists musical pieces to be performed along with composers or arrangers as well as key people in the program: Judge Theodore Appleby -- Moderator Dr. Walter Zarski -- Assistant Choral Director Woodis M. Booraem -- Pianist and Assistant Choral Director Theofil T. Kadela -- Music Director and Conductor. The back cover has an advertisement for the Annual Christmas Concert, Imperial Symphonic Band and Chorus, to be held on December 3 and 4, 1970. Program consists of one folded sheet measuring 6" X 9" (folded) and is in good condition with numerous creases and light staining throughout.
