A note handwritten on the back in blue ink reads "November 1970; Miss Taryn Thomas is crowned Queen of South River by Miss Eva C. Bissett, Queen Riverie - 200th Anniversary 1920; (Taryn was also crowned "Little Miss America" in August 1970 at Palisades Amusement Park.); opening ceremonies - November 6, 1970, Borough Hall."
