Photograph showing one of the Welcome arches erected during the South River's 200th Anniversary celebration in 1920. Two arches were planned, one at the corner of Main and Gordon Streets and the second at Jackson and Ferry Streets. Shown in the photo is an arch, likely the one at Main and Gordon Streets, with a row of automobiles parked at the side of the street. There are people walking on both sides of the street. Handwritten text on the cardboard reads: "200th Anniversary."
Photograph measures 2 3/4" X 4 1/2" and is attached to a piece of cardboard measuring approximately 4 3/4" X 5 1/2". It is in good condition with one long tear in the upper right corner. Cardboard is torn and cut along the entire edge. A label on the back of the cardboard reads: "Property of Woodis and Warren Booraem."
