Real photo postcard showing a black and white image of the South River bridge connecting South River and Sayreville. The view is from the river with buildings on each end of the bridge visible. The brick drying shed belonging to Sayre & Fisher is at the right. The postcard caption reads, "South River Bridge - Sayreville, N.J."
A partial postal stamp appears along the top edge with visible text reading: "RICIA, STRUER" and a line of numbers in-between. The ghost of the postmark on the back of the card appears to the left. Handwritten text written along the bottom in black ink is likely in Danish.
Printed text on the back of the postcard reads: "Post Card, The Address To Be Written On This Side". A square for a stamp on the back top right corner reads: "Place 1-Cent Stamp Here" under an illustration of a sailboat with residue left when the stamp was removed. A postmark from Sayreville is partially obscured. The card is addressed to Mr. J. Beldring with a Denmark address.
