Photograph of an unidentified group with a horse and buggy in the parade held for the celebration of South River's 250th anniversary in 1970. The horse and coach next in line behind the buggy has a sign that reads "Andrew S. C[hurch] Republican."
The view is of lower Main Street looking toward the river with a large group of spectators on the sidewalks on both sides of the street. Sherwin Williams Paints and Wallpaper, South River Appliance advertising GE Appliances, Wilshire Fashions, and the Hotel Pershing are visible on the left side of the street. The Grand Hotel is just visible on the right.
"Photography by Ken James - Industrial, Commercial, Portraiture, Insurance - Phone: 6502" is stamped on the back in blue ink.
Black and white photograph measures 5" x 7" and is in fair condition with the exception of the lower left corner which has water damage.Photograph Details
