Photograph showing the Welcome arch located at the corner of Jackson and Ferry Streets for South River's 200th anniversary in 1920. Photograph was taken from the left side of the arch with the entire arch, street, telephone poles and homes visible in the background. The arch is decorated with garlands, American flags, and text reading "Welcome" across the top. The Asher Bissett house at the corner of Jackson Street and Whitehead Avenue is framed in the arch.
Photograph measures 2 3/4" X 4 1/2" and is in excellent condition with a small stain on the back lower right corner and no other major creases, tears, or stains. The back of photograph has a label with a gold border and typed or printed text in black ink reading: "Property Of: Woodis and Warren Booraem, 208 Main Street, South River NJ 08882, (908) 257-0365." Visible under the label is a stamped "5" in black ink.Photograph Details
