Garden of Roses Float in Baby ParadeEntry/Object ID
2021.001.002Description
Photograph of the Garden of Roses, entry number 6 of the float division, in the baby parade held on September 24, 1920, for the celebration of South River's 200th anniversary. Two small children can be seen riding in a flower covered float pushed by a woman. A second float, pulled by two women is next in line.
Handwritten note indicates that "Allgair's kids" are in the flower cart.
Cars and spectators are visible along the sides of the street and the trolley rails are visible in the forefront. The presence of the trolley rails indicates that that photograph was likely taken on Main Street.
