Photograph of the wreath laid in front of the World War I Memorial during the Veterans Day ceremony at the South River War Memorial Library in November 1970. The ribbon on the wreath reads "To our fallen heroes, 1720-1970."
Former Mayor Walter W. Schack is visible in the background to the left of the monument. Mary Serafin is visible to the right.
"Photography by Ken James - Industrial, Commercial, Portraiture, Insurance - Phone: 6502" is stamped on the back in blue ink.
The number 6 is printed in blue ink in the lower right corner of the back of the photograph. This photograph is the sixth of seven in the set of images from Veterans Day.
