Schack accepting a copy of his "History of South River" from Joyce Weinheimer, President of the South River Woman's Club, during the opening event held in the Council chambers in the Borough Hall on November 6, 1970 for the celebration of South River's 250th anniversary. Taryn Thomas is visible in the background at the left. The identity of the girl at the right is unknown.
A note handwritten on the back in blue ink reads "November 1970; Presentation of the "History of South River," by Paul Schack; to Paul Schack by Mrs. Fred Weinheimer, President - South River Woman's Club; opening ceremonies 250th Anniversary - Nov. 6, 1970, Borough Hall."
"Photograph by Booraem" is stamped on the back in black ink.
