Photograph of an antique automobile in the parade held for the celebration of South River's 250th anniversary in 1970. The car has two license plates, one from 1924 and a modern plate identifying the car as an antique.
The view is of lower Main Street looking toward the river with a large group of spectators on the sidewalks on both sides of the street. Sherwin Williams Paints and Wallpaper, South River Appliance advertising GE Appliances, Wilshire Fashions, the South River Trust Company building, and the Hotel Pershing are visible on the left side of the street. Marian Dress, a Bar and Grill, and the Grand Hotel are visible on the right.
"Photography by Ken James - Industrial, Commercial, Portraiture, Insurance - Phone: 6502" is stamped on the back in blue ink.
Black and white photograph measures 5" x 7" and is in fair condition with the exception of the lower left corner which has water damage.Photograph Details
