Photograph of the beginning of the parade held for the celebration of South River's 250th anniversary in 1970. The banner being carried by a group of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts reads "250th Anniversary, South River, N.J. - November 6-11, 1970."
The view is on lower Main Street. The left side of the image shows the businesses lining Main Street including Wilshire Fashions and the South River Trust Company.
The back of the photo has a note handwritten in blue ink that reads, "South River, 250 Anniversary Parade, 1970."
