Description

Black and white photograph of the dome and ceiling medallion that once held the Capitol Theatre's chandelier. The image was taken inside the Wilshire Fashions factory. Photograph was included with a March 5, 1979 article in the Home News with the caption: "Lowering the Roof - It took all of a year for the Capitol Theater to be turned into a factory. The ornate ceiling is chipping and cracking and it may be necessary for it to be replaced soon. The huge chandelier which hung from the middle of the arched ceiling is gone and now hangs in a music store." The back of the photograph has a handwritten note in red ink, "S.River Theatre Capitol." Measures approximately 8 1/2" x 6 1/2".
