Description

Complete dresser set in original display box from the Capitol Theatre on Main street. Contents were given out one piece at a time on Tuesday nights, circa 1930s. Includes the following pieces: Satin lined display / storage case. Black comb with silver handle. Hairbrush with long handle. Pale turquoise back with silver accent. 9-1/2" long. Dresser mirror with design painted in turquoise. 11" by 7" oblong. Metal shoehorn with metal handle. Nail file with metal handle, 7-1/2" long. Oval hand mirror with long handle and slight bevel to sides. Pale turquoise back with silver accent. 12-3/4" long. Cosmetic jar (2). Glass jar with pale turquoise lid with silver accent. 3-3/4" diameter. Chrome plated picture frame (2). Turquoise mat has an art deco design. Each frame holds a photo of an actress (Frances Drake and Dorothy Jordan), likely included with the frame, and has a sticker on the glass that identifies it as "Chrome Plate."
