Photograph of the borough flag being presented to Mayor Walter C. Kulik by Mrs. Walter Zarski, 1969 president of the South River Woman's Club. The presentation was part of the opening ceremony held in the Council chambers in the Borough Hall on November 6, 1970 for the celebration of South River's 250th anniversary.
A note handwritten on the back in blue ink reads " November 1970, Presentation of Borough Flag to Mayor Walter C. Kulik by Mrs. Walter Zarski - President 1969, representing the South River Woman's Club."
"Photography by Harold Rosenthal, 37 Washington Street, South River, NJ 08882" is stamped on the back in black ink.
