Eventually #303 is sold to Alexandria Lumber Co. for wood service at Alco, LA. It is renamed ALCo #5 in 1923. It is then resold in 1928-29 to Meridian Lumber Co. and is reverted back to #303. By 1954 #303 engine is scrapped at the Long Leaf mill.
