Crowell & Spencer purchased #303 as its fourth locomotive and first rod engine June 1915. Engine is also used on the RR&G until June, 1916.

In 1928-29 ALCo #5 becomes #303 again when sold to the Meridian Lumber Co. before being sold to Crowell Long Leaf Lumber Co. in 1945. Come 1954-55 #303 engine was scrapped at Long Leaf.
