Stables a sawmill town was owned by the Gulf Lumber Co. in 1906 (also owned Fullerton); Stables was burned in1916 and was not rebuilt; the town was taken over by the Llano colonists from California an renamed the town Newllano; the Loring sawmill town of the Bowman-Hicks Lumber Co.; Loring closed down sometime in the 1920s; it is no longer on any LA map
