Chick of the AR company Bluff City Lumber Co. of Pine Bluff in 1902; mill operated under the name Standard Lumber Company; logged north of Olla, LA, causing another sawmill to be built there called Standard (after the mill) and another in Clarks, LA; bought in 1906 by White and Slagle of Central Louisiana Lumber Co.; Standard mill grew to over 800 in population; under the management of S. C.
