Robert R. Malone was a printmaker and painter. He attended Furman University and the University of North Carolina where he received his BA in 1955, and his MFA in 1958. In addition to his personal art career and teaching, Malone wrote several papers and books on printmaking, including "Contemporary American Printmaking" (1999), a collaborative work with Zuo Yingzue and Scott Wampler. He exhibited nationally and internationally. This piece showcases Malone’s characteristic use of bright colors along with his use of free-flowing lines that are consistent throughout all of his works.
