Rites Held Saturday for Vernon Showalter
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, at Hazen & Jaeger funeral home in Spokane for Vernon Showalter, 65, who passed away March 28 at his home in San Jose, California.
Vernon Showalter was born on the homestead of his parents near Tyler in 1882 and grew to manhood in this community. He went to Glendora, California in 1917 and made his home there until three years ago. He spent two years in Cheney and Spokane, then removed to San Jose in June 1946.
Surviving are his wife, Ella, at the home; three brothers, William and Marshall of Cheney, and Frank of Inchelium; and three sisters, Anna Visby, Mary Ashworth, and Sadie Watt all of Cheney.
Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Spokane.Collection
