Description

Small black & white tintype of Joshua Mackey standing In elaborate wood cut out and carved wood frame with 2 oval spaces for photos. When Pastor James Egbert came in 1911, fundraising began to construct a new brick church. The old church building was moved to 714 6th Street, where extensively remodeled into the King apartments, that still stand today. Master builder, S.V. Mackey and a large workforce erected the new church building. After its completion it was described as "a place of beauty for reverent worship." Cheney Free Press 16 September 1914.
