Description
Black & white portrait of Sam Webb taken from his poster in his bid for Sheriff in 1926.
Besides being an astute businessman, Sam liked to try his hand at politics. He served in the Washington state Legislature as Republican for the Fourth District, and was a popular Spokane County commissioner from 1930 to 1936. He was respected by all who knew him. It was said he was the living example of the old adage, “A man’s word is as good as his bond.” His sense of justice was equaled only by his sense of humor.
