Funeral services for Wayne Rueppel were held October 11 at the Memorial Chapel of the Jerue Funeral Home of Cheney. Wayne Rueppel passed away on October 7, 1983 at his home near Cheney.
Rueppel was born on May 3, 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rueppel at the site of what is now Dave's Auto near Cheney on the Cheney Spangle Road. He resided there until 1935 when the family moved to a ranch west of Cheney. Rueppel lived there and worked for the Cheney Grain Growers for 27 years.
Survivors include: his wife Irene at home; five daughters, Shirley Godfrey of Pasco, Helen Fletcher of Cheney, Carol Black of Medical Lake, Nancy Rueppel of Cheney, and Janet Ittner of Cheney; two sons, Gary Rueppel of Spokane and Randy Rueppel of Cheney; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Interment took place at Spokane Memorial Gardens, Reverend Claire T. Richards of Cheney Community Church officiated.Acquisition
