Black and white photo of the Willamette river flooding in west Springfield, dated 1929. Two businesses are in the foreground. Closer building is possibly a store as it has a tall pole of signs with products and costs. There is a man standing in front of building watching rising waters. Second building is "Red Crown Gasoline" with a sign above it that reads "Holme's Fruit and Vegetables". In the center is a truck attempting to drive through the rising waters. There are at least four more cars in the picture. Stamped on reverse "Percy C. Rollins, 10617 NE 11th Avenue, Vancouver, Wahington 98665"
