WEIGHING THE HOPS.
"They Bailed them, you used this Gunny Sack Material Burlap, Anyway, It was like Grain sack would be made of, they pressed these Hops; They weighed about 500 pounds (actual Weight about 200 Pounds), and you put the burlap around them, right in the press. And there were two men hired there to sew them. They sewed the burlap around them and released them, an enormous lot of the hops could be put in one bale,
One Bale weighed about 500 pounds (actually 200), I sewed the burlap one year. They were about six feet by two feet by three feet.... that makes a plenty big enough bale to Handle."
