Photograph of a crew of thirteen men on a log pond.
This is a log drive of 4,000,000 board feet from the Mohawk to the Booth-Kelly Mill at Coburg. This drive started in February 1900 but did not finish until Spring of 1901. This was due to a lack of water and no splash dams on the lower Mohawk. So the logs spent over half a year jammed up on the Mohawk near its conjunction with the McKenzie. This particular drive was under a contract with Tom Gilliam.
Photograph taken by Henry R. Ross.
