Photograph of the Byers family, listed on the back of the photograph as Seth Byers, Gail Wearen Byers & Ronald, undated According to historian Jay Swofford, "The baby in this picture, Ron, was a long time family friend. His family allowed me to place his and his wife's ashes at the site of the Nebo Lookout tower. They were married in the Wendling Methodist church and left from there directly to the tower where Ron was starting his new job as a summer firewatch. Their honeymoon lasted the entire summer and they had great memories of living on top of the world."
