Scope and Content

Scrapbook created by Virginia Almira Shaub Reynolds (1881-1964). White/tan scrapbook with cover displaying a horse-drawn carriage, inside cover shows illustration of people ice skating. Understood to be the earliest of Virginia's scrapbooks in the possession of SHM. Created circa 1899, when Virginia was a Senior in high school. Contains aesthetic clippings from newspapers, catalogs, magazines, etc. The author cut out illustrations of people, food, flowers, animals, news articles, and advertisements. The author's writing and coloring are found on many of the clippings.
