Photograph of seventeen unidentified people in front of Early Springfield saw mill on the Willamette River. Wooden building with trees in background. Lumber in foreground on bridge type area. Before Booth-Kelly Mill this was the primary mill in Springfield originally built by the Briggs, brought and improved by Pengra and other investors under the name Springfield Manufacturing Company. Eventually owned by Almon Wheeler who may be the man in the center. It was located next to the flour mill.
