Photograph album of the Barta Family, circa 1900-1935.
The Barta Family moved to Springfield, Oregon in 1935 from Minnesota. Family surnames mentioned are: Burns, Hanek, Hajna, Salek, Shimak, Kuchynka, Kupka, Novotny, Turek, Lepeska, Jindra and Vonderka.
Angela is the child of Stella and Joseph A. Barta (Springfield, worked in saw milling). Her grandfather was Frank Nerud, on her mother's Stella side. Christena Nerud married into the Hanek family (Emil and John Hanek are her sons).
The little girl "Stella" in the photo album could Stella Barta.
The album contains cabinet cards, postcards and albumen photographs, many with photo studio marks from the Czech Republic, Chicago and Minnesota area.
