This section of anchor chain from the historic U.S.S. Oregon was presented to the U.S. Naval Base at Yokosuka, Japan through the generosity of Ryozo Hiranuma, the mayor of Yokohama, in cooperation with Lionel M. Summers, U.S. Consul General, Yokohama. Presented on 26 February 1957.
