Photograph of an overview of Springfield facing north. Undated, but the lack of a railroad bridge and the new Mill Street School building make this photo likely from 1891. Reverse side of photo describes various buildings beginning with wagon bridge to Glenwood, two mills, IOOF Hall, two churches, Springfield High School, and Opera House. Distinctive features of photo are: White fence in fore ground, wooden tower of mill on left, church on right edge, and "Nichols Photo" in right bottom corner. Original image of 1992.028.001
