Inscription back: The white-water McKenzie River surges out of Oregon's snow-capped Cascade Mountains and flows to confluence with the Willamette River near Eugene. The river area is famed for its White Water parade each spring, the Sunday before trout season opens. It is also a favorite fishing stream and its watershed provides one of Oregon's most extensive recreation areas, accessible by U.S. Highway 126. Oregon State Highway Commission Photo # 5214
