Inscription back: The only mainland sealion rookery in the world is located on the Oregon coast north of Florence. Here some of the great mammals are seen within the caves as the surf pounds the rocky shoreline at two of the three entrances. The caves are accessible by a trail and enclosed staircase from U.S. Highway 101. Oregon State Highway Commission Photo # 5377Lexicon
