Inscription back: Dee Wright Observatory, near McKenzie Summit, along U.S. Highway 126, in Oregon is made from lava rock and is an ideal spot to see and identify the Cascade Mountain peaks in the vicinity. A stairway takes visitors to the observatory, where peepholes, labeled with the names of peaks, gives visitors excellent views in all directions. Oregon State Highway Commission Photo # 5829Copyright
