Photograph of Hayden covered bridge and railroad bridge. Probably the first covered bridge on the Mohawk Rd was the Hayden Bridge across the McKenzie river that Norman Hammitt help build in 1877. Undated Image is a page from Louis Polley's book on the History of the Mohawk Valley and Early Lumbering. Unknown who added red text. Due to differing accounts it is unknown if Norman Hammitt actually helped build the bridge
