Photograph, Jacob C. Spores, circa 1890. On reverse: "Jacob C. Spores was born in Montgomery County New York, July 23, 1795, and died at Coburg December 23, 1890. Came to Oregon in 1847. Married Eliza Hand, August 11, 1816 in New York. The Mother of 12 Children after her death married Miss Nancy Trimmer June 20, 1842. The Mother of his last 4 Children (16 in all) Nancy Trimmer Spores born in Kentucky February 12, 1813 Died March 2, 1891. Jacob C. Spores operated ferry out by Coburg across the McKenzie River."Collection
